Triumvirate Zero

My thanks to anyone checking out this musical debut, which has certainly been a long time coming.

Believe it or not, I composed these songs as a teenager, recorded them with the help of friends in my mid-twenties, and now at last, delivering the final results as a 33-year-old.

Please approach this work as you would a demo tape, since the ideas here originated from a young, impressionable mind, later performed by lay musicians and captured by student technicians. Nevertheless, the tracks demonstrate a level of passion and proficiency within several genres of rock, and given the pain and struggles I have endured over the years of attempting to produce music, it is no doubt an occasion worth celebrating.

The nature of this release can also be taken akin to a baby coming fresh out of the womb (after being stuck for a mighty long time) — messy, yet miraculously precious. In the spirit of cleaning up a newborn, I have made efforts to ensure that the raw material is presented with as much clarity and polish as it is possible under established limitations. Above all, this is a testament of God’s gracious hand at work, as he revitalises one of the more prominent gifts injected into my identity.

Posted below are the songs; scroll further down to view the lyrics and full credits. Enjoy!

The Prophetess Anonymous

I chose you long ago
Before, in your mother’s womb
Till you were born
Every utterance in your destiny is written prior
To the very first, your first word

Many are wondering
What lies beyond the world we see
The world we see and believe
Will all be no more

So prophesy, resound his praise
And testify, don’t ever be afraid
So prophesy, reveal his way
And testify, abandon all your fears to him
And call out…

The night is over
We’ll shine forever
The night is over
Glory, glory to our God

The gates are open
We’ve all been chosen
The gates are open
Let his people come

The night is over, the night is over
The night is over, forever

You chose me long, long ago
Long, long ago
So long, before creation

For I reached out my hand
— Embrace me, surround me
Bestowed my precious word upon you
— Empower my lips
Go out and sing my song
— For your praise, for your name
I chose you long ago
— I’ll prophesy

Alarm Clock

Don’t snooze till the latest of todays
When time could barely wait
Forget the haziness so bright
Awake to the burning sky

In our revival to freedom
Survival punctuality
Subtle, from the distance
The arrival of our heavenly King

Retrace the fading pages of this history in you and me
Believe the final stages of this destiny
For all nations to see

Fly high for the morning squint
Take note the celestial hint
Fly high for the morning squint
Take hold the impossible belief

Don’t snooze till the hand goes past the hour
When time is without power
Forsake the glimmer in your eyes
Awake to the burning light

In our revival to freedom
Survival actuality
Subtle, from the distance
The arrival of our heavenly King

Retrace the fading pages of this history in you and me
Believe the final stages of this destiny
For all nations to see

Fly high for the morning squint
Take note the celestial hint
Fly high for the morning squint
Take hold the impossible belief

Consider every story
Remember the strong urgency
Endeavour on this passage
Be delivered without delay

Retrace the fading pages of this history in you and me
Believe the final stages of this destiny
For all generations to see

Fly high for the morning squint
Take note the celestial hint
Fly high for the morning squint
Take hold the impossible reality

Love Melody

Heavenly worry
Lost geography
Every move I make and wander
Eyes below me
Suddenly I see and ponder
Retrospections for free

It’s not about my rhythm
Nor about my wisdom
That leads me on

Mission, ambition
Vision, decision

Lies along with preconceptions fall
Before your holy majesty
I, with every step
Fair on with conviction
Everlasting

Lucky, unlikely…
To be found so indescribably
So easy once and for all
Forever given, forgiven…
To retrieve the letter’s worth
On your word

And truly sorry, be happy…
To be caught so inescapably
Uneasy once and for all
Forever given, forgiven…
To complete your neighbour’s
Love melody
